Prior to us all gathering together in July, we plan to gather virtually for an OLC event on May 19th at 11am ET, where Class 25’s Drew Kenning will walk us through the growth of air rights as its own unique asset class. Register here!
Now — on to a very exciting issue of our AMDP Alumni Newsletter. Happy reading!
With friendship,
Your AMDP Alumni Association Leadership
OLC: That’s right — Air rights are an asset class. And you need to know about them.
Building on discussions from the recent event in New York, Drew Kenning, AMDP Class 25, will present on HoverSafe.
👉 WHEN: May 19th, 11am-12pm ET
👉 WHERE: Online
HoverSafe has launched software to prepare, certify, and monetize landing and takeoff zones for drones, air-taxis, and emerging air mobility.
By creating compliant, revenue-generating aviation assets directly tied to existing property portfolios, HoverSafe unlocks a new category of air rights monetization across owned land and buildings.
Positioned as the “DMV of the Sky,” the platform provides the regulatory, data, and transaction backbone that allows owners, cities, and operators to safely activate and profit from low-altitude airspace.

And boy, do we have an exciting program planned!
From world-class speakers, to delicious meals, and of course, plenty of time to socialize with old friends (and meet new ones), plans are really coming together for our July reunion.
Don’t delay — get registered!
Our presentations will be taking place at the glorious new home of AMDP: The David Rubenstein Treehouse.
Designed by Studio Gang, the Treehouse is part of the first phase of Harvard’s Enterprise Research Campus, and features:
An expressive mass timber structure, one of Harvard’s first, modeling a greener way of building.
A double-height lobby, extending outdoors through two covered porches that can be used year round.
A central stair, lit by skylights, evoking the wonder and excitement of climbing up into a treehouse.
Canopy Hall, the main conference space, offering sweeping views of the surrounding landscape as well as an open-air terrace.
We’ll enjoy presentations, meals, and socialization with AMDP Classes 26 and 27 in this stunning new space. Some of our confirmed speakers include:

With more than 30 years of opportunistic real estate investment experience, Daniel M. Neidich is one of the pioneers who helped define and develop the high-yield real estate investment fund market. He has built and led investment teams managing institutional real estate private equity funds, beginning with the first Goldman Sachs Whitehall Fund in 1991.
Before founding Dune Real Estate Partners in 2004, Mr. Neidich spent 25 years at Goldman Sachs, where he was a member of the firm’s Management Committee, Vice Chairman’s Council, co-head of the Merchant Banking Division, and Chairman of the Whitehall Investment Committee. Under his leadership, the Whitehall Funds raised over $12 billion of total equity and purchased over $50 billion of real estate interests worldwide. Mr. Neidich has held leadership positions in industry organizations for decades, including the Real Estate Roundtable, Real Estate Board of New York, International Council of Shopping Centers, Urban Land Institute, Harvard University, and Columbia Business School. Mr. Neidich received an M.B.A. from Stanford University Graduate School of Business and a B.A. from Yale University.

Kevin Ervin Kelley, AIA is a principal of Shook Kelley, a strategic design firm he cofounded with Terry Shook, FAIA, in 1992 in Charlotte, NC. Since 2002, Kevin has headed up the Los Angeles office of the firm and works with a team of Perception Managers and Experience Designers. Kevin holds two degrees in architecture from the University of NC at Charlotte and has spent much of his career developing a process that combines business, science, and design into one integrated approach he calls perception design. Kevin’s specialty is getting inside the minds of consumers to determine how the physical environment affects their behaviors, perceptions, and purchase decisions.
Kevin has worked closely with the executive leaders of many well-known companies, such as Harley-Davidson, Whole Foods, Kraft, Cadbury, The J.M. Smucker Company, The Cleveland Orchestra, and USAA, in their efforts to develop new kinds of immersive brand experiences that have the power to convene people in places. He has also taught courses at Harvard University and the University of North Carolina at Charlotte and is a sought-after speaker on the lecture circuit in the US and Asia.
As is tradition, we will also enjoy an evening of food, drinks, and connections at Harvard Club of Boston, with Classes 26 and 27!

And we’re also working on some other engaging programming, including a field trip! More info to come…

NYC was 🔥 🔥 🔥
Over 50 of us gathered last month in the city that never sleeps. And neither did we.
👉 Check out these video highlights.

We heard from legends like Frank Supovitz, the former Director of the Super Bowl, and Marc Holliday, CEO of SL Green — the largest owner of office towers in Manhattan, with a current enterprise value of $13.2 billion.

We toured unique assets like the historic South Street Seaport with the re-developed Pier 17, and the building that re-shaped midtown Manhattan’s skyline, One Vanderbilt.

And… we partied. Of course.

This event never would have been possible without our Sponsors and Patrons:

Don’t miss our next event in July!
Please remember — The AMDP Alumni Association is a group of humble volunteers, who are giving their time and talents to provide all alumni with a platform to stay connected.
